John DiMascio grew up in Akron, Ohio, where he attended Roswell Kent Junior High. There he met David, Dion, and Loren, all of them being members of the band. After graduating from Garfield High, he went on to study at The University of Akron, and The Ohio State University. John now works as an instructor at R.G. Drage Career Technical Center in Massillon, Ohio.
